What is I’m Good all about?
I’m Good-Friends & Family, along with our companion app I’m Good-VIP, work hand-in-hand to help friends and family easily check in on loved ones without sacrificing freedom or creating a burden. With the I’m Good apps, friends or family create a daily check-in window for their loved ones to check in to ensure everything is okay. It’s an ideal solution for an independent parent or grandparent who lives alone to let their loved ones know they are okay without requiring daily phone calls or text messages.
How does I’m Good work?
Friends or family members download the I’m Good-Friends & Family app and send an invitation to a very important person (VIP) to download the I’m Good-VIP app. Once the VIP has downloaded the app, friends and family can create a schedule for the VIP to check in using the app to let loved ones know they are okay.
To assist with the check-in process, the VIP is reminded halfway through their check-in window to use their app to check in. In addition, friends and family members receive a notification if a VIP misses a check-in window. If a VIP misses a check-in window, friends and family know they should take action to contact their loved one to make sure they are okay.
Both I’m Good-VIP and I’m Good-Friends & Family are designed with ease of use in mind. The VIP check-in process requires just a single tap within the app to complete the check-in process. The Friends & Family app enables users to see the status of all their VIPs at a glance and also provides the capability to review past check-ins for each VIP.
How much does I’m Good cost?
I’m Good-VIP is free to download and there is no cost for the VIPs. The pricing structure for I’m Good-Friends & Family is based on the number of VIPs a user wants to monitor. I’m Good-Friends & Family has a monthly or annual subscription model with 3 pricing tiers based on monitoring up to 1, 3, or 5 VIPs. The pricing tiers are as follows:
1 VIP: $1.99/month; $19.99 annually
Up to 3 VIPs: $3.99/month; $39.99 annually
Up to 5 VIPs: $5.99/month; $59.99 annually
The app comes with a 14-day free trial and can be canceled or uninstalled at any time during the trial at no cost.
How many VIPs can I monitor with I’m Good?
Friends and family members can monitor up to 5 VIPs using the app.
How do I invite a VIP to download and use I’m Good-VIP?
Install I’m Good-Friends & Family from the App Store.
Create an account and password using the I’m Good interface.
We recommend using your email address for your account name.
Each VIP user and each Friends & Family user require an account and password to use I’m Good.
Tap the Invite VIP User button.
Enter a display name for your VIP and tap the Continue button.
The name entered will be displayed on your VIP status page and can be modified later if you wish.
Tap the Share button to send your VIP a text message containing a link to I’m Good-VIP in the App Store along with an Invitation Code.
Tapping the Share button will bring up the standard interface for sending a text message.
Use the standard interface to select your VIP’s cell phone number from your Contacts list and complete the steps necessary to send a text message.
Your VIP will receive a text message with a link to download I’m Good-VIP from the App Store along with an invitation code. The invitation code is required to establish a link between I’m Good-VIP and I’m Good-Friends and Family.
Once the VIP installs I’m Good-VIP and enters the Invitation Code, you are connected!
How does a VIP download and install I’m Good-VIP?
The easiest way for a VIP to obtain I’m Good-VIP is for a friend or family member to send the VIP an invitation from the I’m Good-Friends & Family app via a text message. The text message will contain a link to I’m Good-VIP in the App Store along with an Invitation Code. The VIP will need to install I’m Good-VIP and accept the Invitation Code to complete the registration process.
A VIP can also download I’m Good-VIP from the App Store. Whether the VIP receives a link via text message or downloads the app directly from the App Store, the following steps must be followed to successfully use I’m Good-VIP:
Install I’m Good-VIP from the App Store.
Create an account and password using the I’m Good interface.
Each VIP and Friends & Family user require an account and password to use I’m Good.
We recommend using an email address for the VIP account name. The reason for this is because an email address is unique and is also required to reset the VIP’s password if it is ever forgotten.
Tap the Accept Friends and Family Invite button, enter the 5-character Invitation Code, and tap Verify Code.
If the invitation was sent from the I’m Good-Friends & Family app, the 5-character invitation code should be pre-populated.
If the VIP’s Invitation Code is not pre-populated, it must be entered manually.
The Invitation Code can be found in the text message sent to the VIP if a text-based invitation was sent.
The Invitation Code can also be found on the VIP Status Screen within the I’m Good-Friends & Family app.
Once the VIP installs I’m Good-VIP and enters the Invitation Code, you are connected!
What is the difference between Primary and Secondary Friends & Family Members?
The Primary Friend & Family member is the first person to be connected with a VIP. The Primary Friend & Family member has the ability to invite additional users to monitor the VIP. Any additional users who accept an invitation from a Primary Friend or Family member are classified as Secondary Friends & Family members.
The Primary Friend & Family member has the following characteristics and capabilities:
They are the first person to connect with the VIP.
They send invitations to additional users to monitor their VIP.
They can change the VIP check-in window or create additional check-in windows.
They can view the check-in status of each VIP.
They receive missed check-in notifications if a VIP misses a check-in window.
Secondary Friends & Family members have the following characteristics and capabilities:
They are invited by the Primary Friend & Family member to monitor a VIP.
They can view the VIP check-in window.
They can view the check-in status of each VIP.
They receive missed check-in notifications if a VIP misses a check-in window.
What responsibilities does the VIP have when using I’m Good-VIP?
The VIP’s only responsibility is to check in during each of their check-in windows. That’s it! I’m Good-VIP was designed to make the check-in process as easy as possible for the VIP. It was also designed so the VIP will never have the hassle of configuring check-in windows or inviting others to the use the App. All configuration tasks and invitations are handled by the Primary Friends & Family member.
How do reminders work within I’m Good-VIP?
The first thing to know about reminders is that notifications for I’m Good-VIP must be enabled on the VIP’s mobile device in order for the VIP to receive any reminders from the App. As long as notifications are enabled for I’m Good-VIP, a VIP will receive a reminder to check in halfway through their check-in window. For example, if the VIP has a check-in window from 8:00am - 10:00am, they will receive a check-in reminder at 9:00am if they have not already checked in. If the VIP checks in before 9:00am, they will not receive a reminder notification.
How do missed check-in alerts work within I’m Good-Friends & Family?
Just like I’m Good-VIP, notifications for I’m Good-Friends & Family must be enabled on each mobile device for friends and family members to receive an alert notification if a VIP misses a check-in window. With notifications enabled, each person monitoring a VIP will receive a notification alert if any of their VIPs miss a check-in window. The alert notification will be sent within 5 minutes after the check-in window closes. For example, if a VIP has a check-in window from 8:00am - 10:00am and they do not check in during that window, missed check-in notifications will be sent by 10:05am.
